余光中把它翻译成：

这样的冲突和对比，

出自泰戈尔《飞鸟集》。

郑振铎把它翻译成：

这可能是最经典的翻译之一，

夏花与秋叶，成为某种永恒的意象，

绚烂和静美，

形容出了无可比拟的盛大和感伤。

出自英国诗人格雷的《墓地哀歌》。

钱锺书将其翻译成：

农夫倦步长道回家，

仅余我与暮色平分此世界。

这首诗翻译版本众多，

但钱老的翻译有一种浪漫凄婉的美感，

虽然是哀歌，但并不沉重，

“我与暮色平分此世界”一句，

带着一种潇洒、率然和豁达。

钱老还曾将歌德的《漫游者的夜歌》

翻译成：

微风收木末，

群动息山头。

鸟眠静不噪，

我亦欲归休。

是不是瞬间有了陶渊明诗中的意境，

微风煦煦，远山淡淡，悠然宁静，

一首外国诗译出了中国古诗的韵味。

杨绛将其翻译成：
